Sorry…me again…
Prince & The Royalties
I meant to include this yesterday, but now that it’s one day later, my point is not diminished.. Like 100,000’s of others I went out and got my Daily Mail yesterday purely to get Prince’s new CD. Much to the annoyance of his record company, it seems the sparkly tiny person has decided to give away his new CD for free on a Sunday paper. Now, partly because I am nerdy enought to want to own the first CD given away like this and partly because they had run out of The Sunday Express, I grabbed a copy.

You may have read that his UK distribution company have dropped him like a stone for this barmy scheme but he cares not a jot. This is the future of music distribution he is probably saying. A fine sentiment I hear you cry except….
a) He’s very rich and probably doesn’t give a fig about not making any money out of a publicity stunt like this. See also Sting, U2, The Rolling Stones.
b) It’s Monday morning and I still can’t be arsed to put in on and listen. Could it be that Maggie Thatcher was right all those years ago when she said we only value the things that we have earned and paid for?
Another Jab
Another letter popped through the letterbox this morning. As a diabetes sufferer well on the way to infirmity, my local health centre are offering me a free Pneumonia jab. Another bruise on the arm and another set of symptoms I will have to look up on Google.
Red Rover II
The minor panic over my new car’s dim battery light was over nothing. Fixed. Done. Phew.

It’s a rather good album actually. I have just started a re-listen of Sign ‘O The Times & Around The World In A Day, wonderfully good albums , sadly the run of tunes ended rather soon after these.
Thatcher was never right about anything.
