Mind The Gap

Fringe

I just thought I’d put a few temporary thoughts down to fill the gap between the last post and the next.
I have been really busy in the last week or so, most notably as a result of my family reunion. I came away with loads of photos and information that I am still sorting out, both in my head and in reality. Some of the photos are in a really bad way and will need to be scanned and photoshopped quite severely. This one below of my sister (Hi Jo) took a few hours and as the original is only about 1 inch square, I am quite proud of it.

To redress the balance, this is me. This is not yet cleaned up and hence full of scratches and dots. It’s quite hard to look bad in brown but I tried my hardest.

It’s quite a thing to be presented with a 100 or so photos that you haven’t seen since you were 8 or 9. This is basically the same as never seeing them at all. For someone like me, obsessed with nostalgia and the passage of time its a bit of a goldmine. I am going to stick them on Flickr eventually and am looking forward to Geotagging them (placing them on a map) and seeing where my youth took place.

It seems my panic over not being able to get my photos of my mobile phone onto my PC and then onto my Flickr project were a little premature and hysterical. As one of my friends pointed out at work, I do have a laptop with XP on after all.

I am a doofus.
