Save The Cheerleader…Save The World
One Of My Current Obsessions
How damn good is Heroes at the moment? No really. I am almost totally obsessed and can’t wait for each episode. I haven’t been like this since Firefly was cancelled. Luckily, everyone I have bothered about it at work seems to already love it. Which is nice.

Microsoft Virtual Earth Leaps Ahead Of Google Earth A Bit
Well it does in a way. Unlike Google, the aerial photo-map thingy doesn’t have a stand-alone program yet but what it does have is the first faltering steps towards 3D buildings for the UK. If you are lucky enough to live in Brighton or Swindon (ha..!) then you have the most detailed buildings and textures. Those of us living in other cities only have basic 3D buildings with a little texturing.
Highlights in Plymouth include my workplace…

My sister’s old house. The impressive thing is that the texture on the outside of these buildings is actually a photo and not some generic set of bricks.

You really need to see all this moving to appreciate where this will be going soon. At the moment you just go to http://www.maps.live.com and click on 3D in the little floating toolbox. The first time you do this, it will prompt you to download a plugin and thats it.
Its certainly impressive.
Not as impressive as Heroes though.
Go Schooch.
