Serenity TV

Firefly

Those bloody DVD boxsets again. Someone lent me the first series of Firefly (only 13 episodes - cancelled by the understanding and flexible US TV system). I have now finished watching all 13 hours. Starting at 10.30 on Friday night and ending about an hour ago, punctuated by sleep, toilets and food.

Don’t you hate it when that happens?

Now I just found out that a movie if due out on September 30th. How cool.

Neil’s Sci-Fi World

And so the New US TV series start again - Stargate SG-1 Series 9, Stargate Atlantis Series 2 and Battlestar Galactica Series 2 all on Friday nights in the US, on the Sci-Fi Channel one after another. If only there was a way to magically make them fly over the Atlantic onto my Hard Drive in a format I could watch on my PC. Ho hum…

Lost

Anybody else watch this? Damn good so far. There are just some things that the US is good at. Decent TV is one of them, although sometimes you have to trawl through a lot of dross to find it. The only thing that detracted from it was Dominic Monaghan. Yes, after about 90 minutes I worked out he had been a hobbit. They should put these things in the newspaper or maybe even in the credits. Sign of getting old number 257 - “What’s he/she been in?”
