Perception Misconceptions
Growing Up
Hands up all of you who feel any different to when they were say….14?
Thought not.
I have given up waiting for perceived milestones I always thought I would reach based on observations as a child. Remember that one where you couldn’t wait until you could stay up as late as you wanted to? If I didn’t finish work at 10pm and need the time to unwind, I would be dancing on bedfordshire beach not long after 9pm. This ease of nap is best evidenced at the weekend when I rarely make it to 10pm. I am not a night owl.
Unfortunately, as most of you will be aware, once the light goes out and you have to go to sleep the problems begin. I realise some of you do not sleep alone so perhaps I am in a majority of one again.
Did anyone ever tell you as a teenager that one day music would not be as important to you as it was at that time. Still waiting for that to happen. Anyone still love comics like me? Thats the Dark Horse variety incidentally, not the Les Dennis variety.
How about Sci-Fi? Cartoons? Dad’s Army? Playing I-Spy when it gets quiet at work?
Don’t even get me started on the fun of letting off..
Extras
This gets better every week. Les Dennis last night was brilliant, although I wouldn’t want to use that towel after him. Mr Gervais had something huge to live up to and would have been forgiven for doing no more TV, but he is right up there with Coogan’s Partridge in terms of laughing out loud even when watching it alone.
By the way, his agent/ Gareth in the office. Which came first. Was Gareth based on Mr Merchant or is the agent based on Gareth?
Bastards
Thanks to all my policemen readers who sent me pictures of dark, deep water.

U know all coppers are B*stards
