Getting car back tomorrow..fingers crossed

I will be picking up the car in the morning and I promise not to mention it again until another bit drops off. I am at a complete loss without it, further making a mockery of two jags’ fine efforts in cloud cuckoo land to tempt me back onto the bus. His first obsticle would be to actually get a bus near me as at the moment there isn’t one and the nearest one would either get me to work almost an hour early or 10 minutes late and it’s £4 a day return and I can’t listen to my music loud and a I can’t pick my nose and I can’t……well I could go on.

The nights have cooled down now and it’s great to actually get a good night’s sleep. Call me weird but I am not a sunny person. Of course I don’t like it to rain or snow, I just don’t like it hot. That’s just the way I am and you can call me Susan if it upsets you.

And so to end on a sad note (and with a grammatical mistake), another of my heroes has left us. James Doohan (AKA Scotty from the original Star Trek) died earlier today at the age of 85. It was on my birthday, June 11th a few years ago the DeForest Kelly (AKA Bones) was the first to go and this too has affected me deeply. I have loved Star Trek (nearly all of it) for most of my life and have never felt shame of embarrassment at it, as many who don’t share my opinion would seem to expect. Watching Star Trek has always cheered me up and made me forget a crappy day at work. I played it in the playground when young and still play it on my PC now. Now that a second member of the classic seven has gone, any chances of further TV or Movie continuation have all but vanished and I will have to make do with my original VHS collection when I need the fun.

One to beam up.
